The Table is a small church plant in Sunnyside, Queens. Small means something here — it means the things that don't get done don't get done, and the people who show up actually shape what this community becomes.

If something resonates or you read a description and something moves in you, reach out and let's talk.

Featured Opportunity

Church Planting Residency

For someone who feels called to plant a church, the residency is a different kind of opportunity. It's part-time, support-raised, and built around proximity to a living church plant — not a classroom, not a conference, but the real thing while it's being built.

The goal is to form a planter. Someone who will eventually go and plant, carrying with them what they've learned from inside a community that has done the slow, neighborhood-rooted work of building something that lasts.

Serving Opportunities

Hospitality and Environment
Current Need

This is not about managing a snack table. It's about the art of making people feel like they've been expected. At The Table, we believe hospitality is a theology — that the way a room feels, the warmth of a greeting, and the small details of a Sunday morning communicate something real about who God is and who we are.

We're looking for someone who thinks about those details naturally. Someone who notices when a stranger is standing alone, who cares about the coffee being good, and who finds meaning in the work of making people feel at home.

If creating belonging is something you're wired for, we want to talk.

Storytelling and Communications
Current Need

The Table has a story worth telling. What we're building in Sunnyside — the people, the neighborhood, the slow work of community — deserves to be captured and shared well. Right now, most of that storytelling falls to one person, and we need someone to help carry it.

This could look like social media, photography, writing, design, or some combination. You don't have to be an expert across all of it. But if you love words and images and the idea of helping a neighborhood community find its voice, this role was made for you.

If you're someone who sees a moment and immediately thinks about how to capture it, let's talk.

Neighborhood Connector
Current Need

We believe disciples think like missionaries — present on their block, curious about their neighbors, always looking for the next conversation that could become something more. This isn't just a value we hold. It's a practice we want to cultivate with intention.

We're looking for someone who is naturally good with people and wants to help spearhead this in our community. Someone who remembers names, follows up, and knows how to turn a casual connection into something that lasts. This role is less about programs and more about presence — being the kind of person who pulls others in.

If you love your neighborhood and love people, this might be for you.

Creative and Worship
Open

If you're gifted musically or creatively and you're looking for a community where those gifts can serve something real, we're open. We're a small community — which means there's actual room to shape what worship looks and feels like here, not just fill a slot.

We're not looking for a performance. We're looking for someone who understands that Sunday morning is an act of formation, and who wants to contribute to that with their gifts.

If this resonates, reach out. Let's have a conversation.

Children's Formation
Building Toward

We'll be honest: we don't have a lot of children in our community right now. But we believe that's going to change — and we want to be ready when it does. Children's ministry done well is not babysitting during the sermon. It's real, thoughtful formation. It's believing that kids deserve to encounter God in ways that are made for them.

We're looking for someone with vision and patience — someone who wants to help build something from the ground up, knowing it might be small for a while before it becomes something larger.

If children's formation is your calling, we'd love to hear from you — even now.

Something stirring?
